Episode 008: Guest – Ighiwiyisi Jacobs on The Power of One

Today, on the Winning Morning Convos, I sat down with Ighiwiyisi Jacobs after she had just finished a studio session, and I listened intently as she talked about The Power of One. Suffice it to say that you will be so blessed when you listen to what she had to say.

Ighiwiyisi Jacobs is a Worship minister and the creative director of Hermosa Boda, a company that specializes in visual merchandising for store owners, scene staging for creating and staging props, and concept development and implementation for set design. Ighiwiyisi is a multi-talented woman and wears many hats. She is also an excellent writer and artist. You can find Ighiwiyisi on Instagram @IghiwiyisiJacobs.

In this podcast, Ighiwiyisi talks about:

  • How everything must be done with excellence. There’s no excuse for mediocrity with God.
  • How God told her to record her video, The Power of One, because someone needed to be encouraged to stop discrediting that one thing they’re doing.
  • How God has the power of taking that one thing you’re doing and changing your life forever.

Mentioned in this Podcast:

Ighiwiyisi’s original Instagram video, The Power of One.

Be Encouraged

“Don’t lose focus. You were trained for days like this. Light has no impact if there is no darkness. This is the time to shine.” – Ighiwiyisi Jacobs.

Episode 007: Resilience: Building Excellence in Solitude

Today, on the Winning Morning Convos we’re talking about Building Excellence in Solitude.

When you are in solitude, will you change who you are or remain consistent in your views about your truth?

In this podcast, I talk about:

  • How storms reveal what’s already inside us. The revelation of who you are will always come out when you’re in a situation that makes you feel like you’re out of control.
  • Why who you truly are will remain constant, whether you are at a low or high position. It won’t matter whether you’re in the dungeon or the palace, if you truly believe in your truth, you will have the same reaction to what’s happening around you.
  • Why you need to challenge yourself to not be wishy-washy about God. Don’t change with the tides or with the winds. Whether you’re in your bedroom or in the spotlight, maintain an excellent spirit in your solitude, and God Himself will use you for His glory.

Episode 006: Resilience: Lights, Camera, Action!

Today, on the Winning Morning Convos we’re talking about Resilience.

In this podcast, I talk about:

  • How God’s opportunity will meet your preparation. You need resilience to keep working hard so that when the opportunity comes, you will be ready for Lights, Camera, Action!
  • How sometimes, because of our circumstances, we see ourselves as less than how God sees us. For example, Gideon saw himself as the least in his father’s house, but God called him a “Mighty man of valor.”
  • Why you need to stop looking at levels or where you are right now. You need to learn how to keep preparing for your one day of opportunity. One day, God’s opportunity is going to knock on your door. Will you be ready?

Episode 005: Guest – Rayo on Perspectives

Today, on the Winning Morning Convos, I sat down to chat with our Guest, Rayo, to talk about Perspectives.

Rayo is a storyteller and story shaper who works in Corporate and Marketing Communications. Her stories will keep you turning those pages. At the intersection of her art and travels, you will also find a woman who truly loves God and is trusting the process her Father has for her. Rayo writes on www.Adebolarayo.com, and her Instagram handle is @adebolarayo (follow her and thank me later).

Disclaimer: This guest episode is longer than the standard podcast episode because we had so much fun talking about this topic!

In this podcast episode, Rayo shares:

  • How one day, she was stuck in traffic and she heard God tell her, “Stay the Course,” and she understood why later.
  • How her experience that day was a reminder of what happens when we choose to see things through God’s perspective.
  • Why God’s timing is not necessarily our own timing: He may tell you to do something now and you could see the result of your obedience (as in Rayo’s case) a full year later.
  • Why she would encourage anyone with this verse during these chaotic times, “These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” John 16:33
